We would like to say thank you for a wonderful stay. We were attending a wedding at Appin House, never been to Appin before and we looked for somewhere to stay overnight. We found a real gem when we discovered Appin Homestay! Your home made muffins and tea on arrival was most welcoming. The rooms are so lovely and the views are exactly like Escape to the Country, including the cattle! Your friendliness and hospitality was so appreciated. You even picked fresh spearmint from your garden to make my daughter her fresh pot of tea with your wonderful breakfast that you serve. Homemade sourdough and jams and muesli, needless to mention your amazing homemade fetta cheese Sue! I even had the privelidge to take some spearmint cuttings in a pot to take home and plant. Thanks Kevin! Fresh milk from the cows and even watching how it's done! Not to mention the fresh honey from their bees and a great vegetable garden on hand. Definitely will be back!
Thank you again Sue and Kevin.

We arrived home safely last night, still warmed by our memories of our two days in Appin. It was a great weekend and the citizens of Appin should be very proud of the way their town's bicentenary was organised and run.
We really did enjoy our stay with you both and we want to thank you again for your hospitality and friendship. We have stayed at many B&Bs in Australia and overseas, but Appin Homestay takes the cake! You are both special people and we hope to enjoy your company again before too long.
From: Nicola & Sascha
Finally I am getting around to saying thank you so much for our glorious weekend a fortnight ago (I only just finished unpacking!).
My sister Sascha and I were both desperate for a little getaway, and your beautiful Appin B & B totally surpassed all our wildest expectations! We dreamed about gorgeous healthy organic meals, peaceful harmonious surroundings and warm luxurious beds - and you had all of that, and so much more! We both came home feeling so replenished and thrilled with life, and it was because you looked after us so nicely - your kindly attentions and delicious meals that are so clearly prepared with love made us feel marvellous! And we were both inspired to cook more when we got home - with great organic ingredients (trying to do what Sue did so easily!!).
And thanks for picking us up from the train station (and returning us as well) and the lovely tour with Kevin down around Bulli was great! I really think that is incredible service above and beyond!
So thanks again - and you are both such warm gentle people, we couldn't have imagined more perfect hosts! We are thinking about adopting you!
Hope all well with you both - look forward to visiting again soon (my mum wants to come too!).
From: Dick & Jane
Just a short note to thank you two for your wonderful hospitality. Despite the absence of Jane, I really enjoyed my weekend with you and Kevins' interest in old slab huts etc. etc
Jane is very keen to visit one day and I have plenty of things I still need to investigate out there, so we might take you up on that offer of a 'cup of tea'.
From: Jennifer
Fantastic accommodation would recommend it to every one, lovely people, great food, great beds, we were well rested for my son to race the Aussie motocross titles.
Thanks, will come again.
From: Ian & Dianne
Again thanks for the 3 days that we spent with you both and your food was lovely. One of the things that was impressive was how much you were willing to accommodate Di's gluten free diet. We are still very new to this problem and you made things so much easier and the little packages of cake and fruit that you provided was a great help. All the very best to you both.
From: Sam & Danielle
Thank you so much again for the blissful stay at Appin Homestay Bed and Breakfast. We loved every minute of it.
From the welcoming nibbles in the garden when we arrived, to Kevin's tour of his impressive organic vegetable, fruit and herb garden and the rest of the property, to Sue's sublime cooking (our dinner and breakfast were two of the best meals we've ever had!), to the gorgeous and immaculate bedroom and bathroom (with organic bedlinen, deep bath and beautiful Miessence products), and your parting gifts of seedlings from Kevin (lovingly planted in Sam's front yard) and Sue's gluten-free cookie recipe (which we can't wait to try!).
We were so impressed with the attention to detail and thoughtfulness that you put into every aspect of our stay. Sue's gluten-free and pescetarian menu was a work of art, and we were delighted to climb out of the pool after breakfast to find a bottle of organic apple juice and cookies waiting for us. The little chocolates on our bed and the selection of teas in the sitting room were lovely touches. And one of Sam's favourite moments was enjoying a peaceful sunset reading a book on the verandah while sipping a complimentary beer you had left in the fridge.
For us, however, the most special part of our stay was the way that you made us feel as if we were a part of your family.
We can't emphasise enough how wonderful our stay was with you - and we can't wait until our next!
From: Carolyn
I have stayed in many B&Bs in my travels here and overseas and I would have to say that Appin Homestay B&B is world class. For overseas visitors wanting a true sense of Aussie hospitality, this is a must place to stay! Great hosts, great food, great location - you will love it!
For us Aussies, if you want to escape for a little while to recharge your batteries and are looking for a quiet retreat, this is the place!
From: Trevor Fox
We had a lovely time at your place and have not been able to stop telling people about it.
From: Alexander Wilon JP PhD
If there is a star rating for B&B you would have to be a 5 star plus.
From the moment we arrived, you showered us with treats. You showed a genuine interest in our comfort and well being. Everything in your B&B is either home made or home grown or homely prepared. You plucked vegetables out of your garden and prepared us lunch. You chased the hens for eggs and gave us breakfast. Home made pasta, home made blue berry muffins and creme caramel!
The bedroom is so homely and exquisitely decorated right to the last minute detail. Even the soap is home made!
Did I mention the pool and the horses and the birds?
I could go on for ever and still not give credit to what you offer.
Most importantly you both give of yourself so generously and so genuinely.
Appin Homestay is a place where people come as guests and leave as friends.
Thank you again!
From: Jackie Wilon
I was so impressed with the homely welcome, and warm reception we had during our stay. It was a truly special experience. From the moment I walked into the rooms, I was met with such attention to detail. Not only the detail, but the comfort, and the aroma, and the experience. You both thought of it all... right from the organic linen, to the scent sticks, to the organic body wash and organic chocolate ... as well as the organic garden ... EVERYTHING was just so thoughtful.
You have both put a lot of care and attention to detail into this little piece of heaven on earth.
It was such a lovely experience to be walking around the organic garden with Sue behind me picking the fresh ingredients for our lunch - knowing that within the next hour or so, we would be eating that zucchini, and that basil, and that lettuce ... and all the other goodies in that pail!
It was also lovely to be eating such wholesome, fresh food, made by someone with a passion for the goodness and enjoyment that food brings to people.
It was truly a sensational weekend! I know I ate far too much, but one piece of your caramel slice, and one slice of your banana cake ... and one serving of the most wonderful fresh pasta just were not enough!
Well done to you both! I know I had a most wonderful weekend, made all the more special for the care and most warm welcome we received in your beautiful home.
Thank you for sharing your home with us!
From: Samantha & Ross

Give us a call when in Melbourne
From: Ross & Cathy, Guy & Sue
We should have booked a week; Appin Homestay with Sue & Kevin was undoubtedly our best night of our trip up from Melbourne.
An amazing pre dinner cheese platter selection of local produce, great home cooked meal, amazing nights of sleep, a few laps in pool and a big fry up before departure.
It doesn't get any better than this (and I didn't mention the daughter's made banana cake).
Thank you for your friendly hospitality xxxxx five star rating from us.
P.S. We'll be back when the corn's ready
From: Mark & Rina
Our first B & B experience has been the best. Thank you so much for your warmth and you have gone out of your way to make us feel very welcome.
If ever we are heading this way again we would definitely come back. Thank you.
From: Charmaine & Christian
Thank you so much for opening your home to us these past few days, nothing was too much for you to do Sue, you spoiled us so much and made us feel so comfortable & welcome, yet you gave us our space.
I truly feel that this time away before the little one arrives will be crucial (and has been) in helping me stay calm, relaxed & positive.
Thank you for all the awesome meals and added treats. We will be back and will be telling our friends & family about your paradise in the country.
From: Hae Joon Park (South Korea)
While I was looking through some of my pictures this year, I found out some lovely pictures at your place. I still have fabulous memories spending my time there in Feb. My friends also often say about time in Appin. I just wanted to write a short thank note for your openness and kindness, again. I hope one day I, with my family, want to visit you again, if it is possible.
From: Max, John & James
Thank you for making us feel welcome. We have told everyone about your lovely home and your wonderful cooking! John said the first thing you did when we arrived was that you put a beer in his hand ... fantastic!!! You two are a pleasure to be around and James took no time in thinking you two were like his Nan and Pop!
